Hi i found out on passion ford that MR RALLYCROSS MARTIN SCHANCHE, is making a comeback at gatebil in a escort cosworth, i feel the need to come and visit Norway, is it a race or a display? what hotel is near, any help welcomed!

I AM GOING BY PLANE ON FRIDAY 5 OCT TO OSLO AND HOPE TO GET A HIRE CAR AND HOTEL SORTED BEFORE HAND, I AM HOPING TO GET HIS AUTOGRAPH AND SEE THE COMEBACK OF MR RALLYCROSS, I WOULD OF LOVED TO COME IN MY COZZIE BUT THE BOATS FULL.

Oslo airport is about an hour of driving north of the city center. From there it is about 45 minutes of driving from Oslo to Drammen.

I would recomend you fly with Ryanair to Sandefjord (might be called Oslo , Sandefjord at the flight booking).

Sandefjord is south of Drammen & abit closer.

Hotel rooms etc. in Drammen is not a problem , expect to pay around 1000 NOK per day at most hotels.

I`m not sure but I think he is racing. He will probably do a lot of "show of" if I know him right. It is an arrangement - Gatebil racers vs Professional racers. Drammen is a city outside Oslo, there is bus connection to Drammen from Torp. You can read about the car in last number of "Performance Ford". After the race you should take the train to Oslo! It would be great to see you with your Wolf at Gatebil festival next year, I will attend with mine

there will be a race between schanche and eklund i believe, and schanche has said that he would not hold back anything.
